Hello Everyone
Where did Men with a rope and  capstan pull railway box vans across the road.
Where was St James Church Vauxhall.
Who had the cane at school.
Look forward to hearing from you all.

Hello Ed
See you at 4  to get on the tram to ward end park. Only half a penny each way but if we get a glass of pop at the park we will walk home.
Do kids today know how we enjoyed ourselves with nothing.

Yes Gerald sometimes downWashwood Heath Rd and sometimes from Sladefieldfield  Rd  down from the Capitol through Alum Rock to the Gate. Then you had to decide Devon St way  or Duddeston Mill Rd. By that time you were so tired there was no difference🤔🤔😴😴

Hello, Gerald.
If you ever got the luck to have a friend who was given some money to take out a canoe on Ward End park lake, and he asked you to go with him, then when in the canoe and he rocked it a bit, if  you stepped out your legs got wet up to the knee. If you unfortunately rolled out, you got soaked from head to foot. I speak from experience.
Take care, Gerald.
Mike

Meriden Street, the Digbeth end, Coombs and Co`s warehouse. Anybody remember it and any memories of people who worked there?
And the cane, Gerald, who had the cane at school?  Most of the teachers had the cane, as did the Headmaster.
Keep rubbing the spot, Gerald.
Mike

Just noticed your two posts , I can only answer one question between 1960-4 I had the six of the best on each hand twice . Maybe if I had lived over your side of the city I'd answer more . Questions for you where was Mrs Brown 's corner shop , what was the name of the electrical wholesaler at the top of Granville St , name of the car manufacturers premises on Granville St ? Looking forward to your answers
