I was born at home, 15 Alma Crescent, Vauxhall, Birmingham


My Grandmother lived 1 back 40 Alma Crescent in 1932. Her maiden name was Brown.

At home in Winson Green, just off Dudley Road. Moved soon after to Moseley Road near the baths and then to a prefab on Wake Green Road, Moseley where I lived for over 20 years. The prefab's still standing!

I was born at 92 St Andrews Road near the Blues' ground so my Footie loyalty was thereby determined.  Three years later, the house was bombed and we had to move away
