Seeking Elwyn ' Taffy ' Davies, RN. WW2
« on: July 19, 2008, 09:56:27 AM »
Help please in seeking a wartime pal of my cousin John ( Jack ) Robinson,
ex Royal Marine now age 83 and living in Sheffield.
Elwyn Davies ( Royal Navy, not Marines like Jack ) last known address was
2 Station Road, Coleshill. I have verified that Elwyn was at this address immediately after the war up to approx 1950.
I believe his parents to have been Richard and Elizabeth. Elwyn married a Dartmouth girl.
Does anyone remember either Elwyn or his parents or is anyone familiar with this address.
Does this house still stand in fact ?
I would appreciate some help, no matter what. Jack gets very upset about the fact that he lost contact with Elwyn

Hi Runningman

I'm sorry that I can be of no personal assistance to you other than recommend that you might like to try these sites for assistance in you search.

http://coleshillweb.co.uk/Forum/

http://forum.birminghamhistory.co.uk/index.php

The first one is a very small forum, but it is local and you never know. The second site is rather larger and has some good resources for this type of search.

May I wish you the best of luck in your search, and add that I hope your cousin gets news of his friend.

Phil
