John Swallow 'A.T.V.'
« on: July 21, 2008, 10:32:05 PM »
The quirky and characterful  'A.T.V.'  reporter  John Swallow  died last week
 - i was watching the small tribute to him on Central News and my young kids found him hysterically funny - especially the geese attack -please someone u/l on youtube!
I had the good fortune to meet him at Wolverhampton Train Station in 1992- we were the only 2 passengers there and had a good chat - however he was a serious character -and not the jester seen on TV.
I hope Central dedicate a full tribute show to him.
RIP

I did not have the honor to meet him but myself and hubby adored him. Anyone remember the time he interviwed some woman complaining about folks eating on a bus? He rang the bell and had a plate of fish and chips bought to him. The stupid woman was mortified. ;D
