i have been to alot of clubs in Brum and i forget which ones are which it was all a long time ago but someone must be able to tell me were exactly it was.

Castaways was at Bradford house, 286-292 bradford st near the white swan. The forum will not accept a picture (53 Kb) saying folder is full.

thanks for that it looks by those numbers that it would have been at the bottom of the street, i have been in the club but i think i was before it became the Castaways.

The Castaways was in Bradford House, which was on the right going towards town just before Rea St.
I was putting the sign up on Bradford House, when this big guy got out of a car and asked the way to Walford Stadium, it was only after he'd gone my gaffer said that was Joe Bugner, that would be about
1958/59 ish.

You remember the clock in Bradford St on the side of the old George Masons Warehouse on the corner of Rea St.

Well The Castaways was more or less opposite there, I think the Rea ran alongside it.

i've got the place, a friend of mine did some decorating there at one time a lad called Steve Davis and was it above other premises.
