For some strange reason I never got up the Lickeys till I was in my teens.

My mum has told me she went often as a girl with a bottle of tea and if lucky some bread and jam or dripping. :-\

From Ryde Park Rd, you could have got there quicker pushing a steam roller than by tram.

Fred,

The two of us from our class - what a team eh, we'd have got ''really rocking'' down the Bristol Rd - do you remember how they went - brilliant, there is NO sensation like a rocking tram racing along, is there?

Tramp and everyone,
Swansea had a tram until January 1960 but it was called the Swansea and Mumbles train there is one of them in the museum in Swansea i had a look at it about 4 weeks ago it looks like a new one.
