I still live n the area and run a project on Billesley Common called "The Valley Riverside Project" restoring the land near the junction of haunch Lane and Yardley Wood Rd.

Sad news for younger members who may have ridden their BMX bikes on the [censored] Moor BMX track behind the Valley pub (RIP): the track has been ploughed in and levelled out :'( and is now a piece of sloping parkland with paths for pedestrians & cyclists.
There's no B/S on Planet Malc.

Planetmalc, your post brought back many memories for me, in the 1980s i was an official with  UKBMX and we had many National  race meeting on the C*c*smoor track, one sponsored by Kelloggs which  included riders from USA and can still be seen on Youtube.
BMX racing has now been included as an Olympic sport and  it is sad that some of Birminghams best tracks no longer exist including the International track at Birmingham Wheels.
