Ed, I started to write a few of my early years memories for my grandkids. It`s surprising what memories are triggered when you do this. Can recommend it.

Calthorpe park  the year not sure but it was after the war     two things that come to mind first one a miniature railway that ran from the bridge by the swings down to the bridge   along the side of the river rea

and the other thing   was a row of world war two aircraft  from one end of the park to the other end plus barrage balloons

Was that the time there was a Lancaster there. My dad took me there to see it and clime into it.      O0

hi fred could be but being a child I would not know one plane from the another all I know there was a lot of them   but im sure it was before 1950

I also remember getting a lorry innertube at cannonhill park and using it has a raft on the river rea down to the triangle  flicks

My first holidays at the seaside were with one of these inner-tubes my Dad got hold of.

Gerald I would love to read this book and I don't see why there is any reason you can't. Count me in I can only help with the 70s if that's any help.
