Hi Phil, can you put me on the spot so to speak with this photo of Dollman street, am I looking down toward Cathcart street or Alma crescent? and is there a pub (name?) or outdoor on the corner of one of the said roads? as I said in my earlyer post it has all gone by the time I was able to get around and see for my self.

pudding you are putting me on the spot with this, because I think that is Dollman St running from left to right across the photo. You can just make out Tants the plastic moulding firm. They were on the left hand side of Dollman St as you walked from Duddeston Mill to Erskine St.

So in my opinion and don't forget it has been over 40 years now but the only place the photographer could have been standing was at the top end of Alma Crescent near the railway sidings.

Thats the best I can do until someone corrects me.

That sounds about right to me but wasn't the café on the opposite corner of Alma crescent?

This is how I seem to remember it, the numerals marked in red correspond to the following locations.

(1)  where the first photo showing the outdoor was taken.
(2)  Where the Café was
(3)  Where the outdoor was.

Now I am not going to say this is correct without a doubt, because I do have some niggling doubt.

By the way the map was given to me by Mikejee some time back.

Another great photo, I remember the George not that I ever used it, but I used to walk past every day when I went to work at Chance & Co in the old Vale of Evesham Brewery building you can see in the background of your photo.

I don't suppose you have a photo of the Duddeston Hall Inn (Monkey House) or have I asked you before?
