Tony, Nice shot up Cook St, do you have one of the top end of Cook St, the other side of Chattaway St? I ask as my Mrs was living at No. 30 when we met.

Steve,

I went taking a few photos in '88 when researching my family history. I don't think I have one from that end, but will look.

Most are of the side roads off "The Rock" and Washwood Heath, however, I do have a few of Nechells.

I will post more, if that is OK with you all?

I am about to post a couple of others on the Saltley theme.

Tony

Hi Ann

While I agree that it is best that we keep the items we record here as factual as possible, not only for our benefit but for others that read those comments that we make. I find a problem with remembering house numbers, even some of the ones I lived at myself when younger. I have no doubt this is what happened in this instance, the person who made the statement just made a little error.

Can I make a suggestion, if in future you wish to pass a comment on a post it would be better if you gave the reply number. You will find this along with the date and time of the post under the title of each individual post.

Hi Sorry it did sound a bit harsh reading it again now.  I was just being protective of my family.  Apologies again x

Hi Ann

I also am sorry if I looked like I was admonishing you, because I wasn't. You are of course entitled to say what you wish (within the rules of the forum). If you thought that something had been misrepresented on the forum, then you were right to point it out.

I was merely suggesting that it was most likely done in error. By the way what was the reply No so that I can check it out.
