I think your right, in fact I checked out Kelly's and I know you are right so I have changed the map. I thought there was something wrong.

Phil, this is the best I can do for the Duddeston Hall Inn (the monkey house) on the corner of Somerset street and Cato street,it's the building with the wihte window frames

Yes that seems to be the place alright, nobody seems to have a decent photo of the pub at all. Thanks this is certainly the best one I have seen so far.

I hate those lamp posts, walking down Devon St one day, I was distracted by a pretty girl and bumped my head on one of the lamp posts and got 3 stitches in my forehead. :(

Mind you looking down the street, you can understand why telephone cables went underground.
 
I wouldn't have thought installing all those telephone poles would have paid being so few people could afford phones in the poorer areas in those days.

Phil, have you noticed that the poles are only at the bottom end of Devon st, I would have thought they were for the gas works school and the vicarage like you said the people in those house's could never have afford one.
