I hadn't heard of any until now. The trouble is how can you get kids to wash their hands every time they pet an animal. There are signs everywhere.

Phil... they have to put the signs so they are'nt libal, and if anything does go wrong theres always that sign that says please dont feed the animals, so when some animal eats your Freddy or Timmy, they are coverd,

Well I suppose a disclaimer is always going to be part of the answer but I can't see that alone bringing the crowds back    Bernie

Well I didn't really notice what the facilities were when I visited Sheldon Heath Community Farm, but seeing as it is Council backed I would think they were pretty well up to code.

I have visited many of these types of places all around the country and have noticed more and more of late that they are getting very enthusiastic in their approach to ensuring that you wash your hands even to the extent of having a wash basin on every animal enclosure.

Hi, I’m new to the site, half spent the last hour reading, the Small Heath link,
I think I qualify as a ‘heathen’ I was born in Templefield Street, near to the ‘Blues ground. Remember most of the pubs mentioned, attended Ada Road School, 1944-1948
Cheers        Nick

Hi Brummie Nick

Welcome to our forum, not a street that jumped readily to my mind Templefield St. I had to look it up, nice and close to the Blue's ground. So I suppose you had no choice but to be a supporter.

Settle and and get your feet under the table, and then tell us some more about yourself.

Hi Brummie Nick,

Welcome to the best forum in town - as Phil suggested, tell us a bit about yourself, there're lots of old codgers on here, so you should quickly feel at home.  Some still live in brum, others elsewhere in UK and a few overseas - so, for the most part. we're a happily mixed bag.

I hope you get stuck in and enjoy the site.
