Hicks family at 1 St Andrews Road , Bordesley 1901.
James Hicks age 45 b Weston on the green , Oxfordshire , Railway checker
Elizabeth Hicks age 43 b Weldon, Northants
all children b birmingham
James Henry age 21 Wood sawyer
Lily age 19
Minnie age 17
Elsie 7
Arthur thomas 4


James hicks married Elizabeth Wade in 1878
in 1891 they lived in Watery Lane
in 1911 James is a widower living at 178 St Andrews road, a retired Railway porter.

Thanks for that, however it was George Joseph HICKS who seemed to disappear around 1920s his father was also George Joseph Hicks

Does anyone have any photos of the shops on green lane, around the end of the 1950s - earlys 60s please i have looked online and can not find any
