Hi jraymondj

Welcome to you,  what you say intrigues me as I thought you were supposed to be unable to make posts on the Facebook Page and the only posts on there were ones reproduced from here.

If this still in fact holds true then why not post your images here?

Was this not the Pub on Arden Road? IIRC, it was an Ansells House.....many good pints there circa early 1960s!

It was in Crawford St; Baz. No pubs in Arden Rd but where it joined Landor St and Adderley Rd; there were the Brittania and the Denmark Inns. 3 generations, possibly 4 of my family used them.

The Denmark that's a new one on me Steve.
Was it a vision, or a waking dream?

Townie, the 'Denmark' was on the corner of Adderley Rd; and Landor St; exactly. Opposite the 'Brit' which was on the corner of Landor St; and Adderley Rd North which is the short road leading up under the railway bridge to the old brick works which became the council tip. Now it's been turned into a sports park of sorts.

My dad also worked as a stoker and used to go in the Gas House after he finished his shift
