Phil  ok mate

As far as a beach is concerned, to set up first I would imagine the sponsor would have to hire the space. then set up a stage, supply power. Lay sand, provide deck chairs etc, staff it every day, security and first aid etc all day 7 days per week and security during the closed hours. also advertising etc and paying bands and artists to appear on stage + disco for when bands arn't playing. There are probably a few things that I have missed out and these are my own observations, but I wouldn't like to pay for it.   I know the cost of some of these things are crazy.    SB

I know but its only a mere trifle compared to other things the Council wastes its money on. Still I shouldn't complain I pay my rates to Solihull.

As much as it gauls me to speak up for the council, as far as I know, the beach is sponsored by private money. SB

You see as I said I know very little about it, do they fill the fountain with water? They used to try and nick us for getting in there on New Years Eve. The spoilsports eventually drained it on New Years Eve's.
