Bill,

Did you know a tallish and slim (not skinny) youngster about your age at Tyseley, called Terry (Tel) Bird? - he also worked to become a fireman.

bill.w,

After replying to your post, may I welcome you to the forum.  We're a fairly relaxed lot and many active members are in about our general age group....though there's a bit of stroppy young blood in the form of the occasional under 60, a k a sheldonboy, who is a recent and very active new member who goes to Tyseley every day.   Whatever else you do, enjoy the forum.   Phil is now our official archivist - which means he's got loads of photos going back to when the Severn was a tributary of the Rea! ;D

Once again, Welcome O0

Yes,
Wife's with her neice who's unwell.....but from the way she'd moaned at her these last 3 days, I know she'd rather be by herself as she phoned me to try to talk her out of it she's living with ma-in-law at present who definitely didn't want her to come for the night as she herself is pretty rough right now.

I'll slope off fairly soon - I've b een on here a lot - more accurately I've been on 2 pcs as I'm also writing something quite long...

I think I'll sleep like a top when I go...but read for 20 minutes first, then think for another 5 or 10, I usually do.
