Hi all/
I am trying to gather info on Wimbush as after a hundred years of service to the people of Birmingham it seems that all trace of the firm has disapeared from the records, cannot find anything in the ref.library or photographs of the front of the building anyone help?

Hi Old Pal ( I feel silly calling you WimbushYardley) ;)
I've posted exactly the same request on this and other forums over the last 3 years hoping to get material for an article on Wimbush for my website but I've hit the same brick wall everywhere. We'll just have to keep trying

Jerry

This is the only pic I've got of the Wimbush front, not great but better than nothing O0

Hi Wimbush,

The St. Bernard's Grange Pub, in Barrows Lane, Sheldon, used to be the private residence of Ambrose Wimbush, until his death in 1935.
In 1919 it was described as 'a grand, old fashioned country residence'.
I have a photo of how it looked then, but I don't know how to resize it at the moment.

Hi Ken

I have a little better photo of Wimbush's for you, but I'm afraid it will have to wait until this little technical problem is sorted.

Hi phil/
Many thanks for the photograph of the Wimbush factory front what a modern building for its time why did Birmingham council demolish it without making sure they had ample photographs for future ref. will put some more more photographs on if it will work for me any idear what the problem was ?.
                                                         Regards Ken.

As far as I am aware the attachment folder needed resetting whatever that means. I'm afraid it means very little to me. Still its fixed now and thats all that matters (well until the next time).
