Your house has to be pretty close to these two shops, I think this is as near as I'll get. It's not finding the photos as I have them anyway, it's trying to match them us with houses and these old photos rarely give house numbers and anyway I don't know yours, but these houses were opposite the Black Horse.

Thank you Phil, my home ( up until 1966) is in fact shown on the photo along with three houses of my childhood friends. There are two shops in the foreground, one with the name of Perks over it, knew their  son David and the shop next door with the door to the right of the shop window was owned by by Mrs Iomi, mother of Tony, part of Black Sabbath.

Thank you again for the photo, one to treasure for me.

Jays.

Looking at the photograph, the small car is outside no 103 Park Lane. Looks like a shop window but was a house at the time I lived in Park Lane. I lived three doors up at 97 next to the entry that gave access to the backs of houses from 93 to 103. The lighter facade passed 103 was Lloyds Garage where I spent many hours with their granddaughter Wendy who lived with them.

Hi Jays

Interesting that about number 67 being owned by Tony Iommi's mother as the shop is registered to T Tomey in 1962. Was Iommi a stage name?

This is a cut and paste from the 1962 Kelly's trade directory.

I always believed the name was Iommi. His Mother was Italian.

Just a thought, could the shop have been rented?

He definitely lived there with his mother and father.  I think his father was called Tony ( Anthony) too.

Perhaps it was just a transcription error by Kelly's if the entry was done verbally and written down by the directory's agent.
