A couple more photos of Birmingham Central Goods Station. Am I right in thinking the main entrance & offices (second photo) were in Suffolk St.

If there is any particular pub that you would like to see, just ask you never know I might have a photo.

Hockley BR Station in the days of steam and Hockley Midland Metro Station. I know which I preferred. Not that I have anything against the Metro in fact I think it should be expanded to take in all of Birmingham and the Midlands.

Here's a more forlorn picture just before demolition of the station and depot

Yes Phil it is. It would have been taken at a weekend, and I think that in the week there was still that last service going to wolves low level from the side entrance of snow hill, but it wouldn't have been running on the weekend. The sheds of the depot were demolished not long after. As before I'm not exactly sure when I took it. It was on nthe same film as the ones showing the jewellery centre built but not yet occupied, with the houses being knocked down around it still. Her is theview in the other direction.

Did you ever get across here, it fascinates me as it reminds me of one of those old wooden trestle bridges that were always collapsing or being blown up in the old wetern films.

It is the Dowery Dell Viaduct on the Halesowen Railway at Frankley sometimes known as the Huntington Viaduct. I believe it was demolished in 1965. Information thanks to Mikejee who located it for me some time back when I couldn't as the card itself names it as Downey Den Viaduct.
