Hi John

I know little of the politics of why he was banned on the History Forum, all I know is that he is a very gifted man and has genuine  love and interest in the history of Birmingham, and that is why I sent you the PM after you said you lived next to the Cromwell public house as I assumed you were he.

Still this is not the place to discuss such things, do you share your brothers interst in Birmingham's past? Or have you joined just to enjoy a good chat, because you can do both on this forum, and we are all friendly people, so I hope you enjoy yourself here.

Hello Phil,
I  do have an interest in Birmingham past and present, and also enjoy a good natter,
especially if it's vested interests.
I have lived in Nechells, Small Heath,Yardley,Northfield, Castle Vale, Kings Heath, and
Kings Norton before moving to Brighton in 1993.
As a small aside I was buried for 2 hours at the age of 2 when Rocky Lane Methodist Chapel was bombed, and where my father was on fire watch on the roof, and my mother threw me under a table which saved me, when they got me out mom said I had a lump as big as an orange on my head,(so that's what been wrong with me all these years) ha ha -only joking.
Regards John.

Don't be silly, they just put them up in preparation and practice  for when I was born some years later. The wrong way round of course awkward as usual. Loveday St was only used for births that were not straightforward I believe.

Phil,

Sorry mate, I've only just noticed that you came into the world the wrong way round like me - but I was born in Ombersley with dear old Dr Williams and 'her' midwife ''stretchíng my legs''.  So I'm even more amazed that you don't like football.  Did you also have your hands above your head ready to clap the doc when you were finally out?  Since Day 1, I've been putting my foot in it, and getting away with it, how about you?
