          There cant be that many OTTAWAY s in Birmingham that originated in Sutton Coldfield. My father was Charles Henry Ottaway (Harry) and my mother Ena. We lived in Hockley, Kingstanding, Sheldon and Erdington.

Abt, thankyou. I was gobsmacked when I read your message. Yes I know I had an uncle Vincent. I was born in Boldmere Rd., I think my grandmother lived there.


How did you know the Ottaways? Do you have any more information.

Does anybody know of the pilmer family in sparkbrook ? The father was a caretaker in an old junior school in sparkbrook. Can't remember the name of the school. I new the family around about 1975/ 76. They had a teenage son named Gary and a younger daughter living at home.  This is a bit of a stab in the dark as I don't remember much.

Hi my name is Paul Locking and I was born in Birmingham in 1961. I lived at 39 Longstreet, Sparkbrook 11. My mother apparently left when I was born so I have never met my mother or my father. She was married to a William Locking and I was left with him but he was not my biological father. He died when I was 17years old. Does anyone know my mother who is Edith Rose Locking (previously Holland)? If so I would be greatful for any help in trying to find my biological parents. Thankyou
