I am looking to see if anyone remembers the Cruickshanks family on Icknield Port Road (Ladywood) - the lived at 1 back of 281 - the parents were called Tom and Olive and the children were Maurice, Colin and Brenda. They lived there until the late 1960's where they moved to Winson Street.

If anyone does remember or know anything - it would be greatly appreciated for a reply.

Many Thanks,

Thomas Parry

Got the 'chasing the family history ' bug.......Reginald James Worgan had 10
siblings and was born in Bristol but he married in 1928 and lived in Goodway Road Birmingham. I understand his wife's name was Emma and that there was 1 child. He died in 1983 in Handsworth Wood. Just wonder if anyone has any info please.

The Birmingham electoral roll only lists him from 1945, but I think that may be because before he was not technically in the Birmingham area. In 1952 there was also Jose R.G Worgan.
In 1955-57 he, Bessie & Jose were at 10 Oak Tree lane , Selly Oak,with also an ethel Taylor.
In 1962-65 Reginald and a Cissie Worgan were at 2 umberslade Road, Selly Oak.
Not every year is online, and online entires end at 1965
