Not the Pelham  in the 50sbut there was in 1939 at 426 Lichfield Road aston,
George E Davies b 1900  Public house manager.
Winifred Davies b 1902  (nee Parton) married 1922
believe they had at least 2 children Joyce Winifred and George Edward.

If you need any information with regards to your family tree or your mothers relatives perhaps you would like to send me a private message Alberta.

Hi Alberta, thank you for your reply, my mum’s mum lily Taylor was born in yardley road and her father Douglas congdon in great brook street I think. They married in Birmingham and my mum was born there. Sadly she died a couple of months after my mum was born. That was 1947. She remembers visiting the Pelham Arms alum road up until the age of 14, to visit her auntie Winnie and uncle George who were Publicans. She seems to think they then moved to the white horse or white lion but cannot quite remember.
Your help is really appreciated

Hi Alberta, wow your email is fantastic. It is the Taylor side I am looking for. My mum remembers Florence and she seems to remember 2 children Edna & Davis.

If you could also find out any more information on the Davis side that would be fantastic.
My mum was brought up by Alexandra after her mum Lily died and is desperate to know about her mum as nothing was ever mentioned to her. Once again Thank you for all your help, :)

Does anyone have any info on the Wilson family who lived at 131 Hope Street in 1840-1880ish.  Charles and Letitia Wilson had 13 children.  One of their sons, James Henry, was my great grandfather.  He was a musician, professor of music and flautist. Any info, or old photos of Hope Street, gratefully received
