Heres one I need a little help with, while realising that the location of this has to be somewhere in the Broad St area. I am not really sure where it is.

The image is from Carl Chinn's site Birmingham lives. I am not a fan of Carl Chinn but I will admit that this site is a little gem.

The name of this image is James Brindley Passage.

Hi Phil,
You've got me going now, I've walked up there many a time, when I used to go and see a mate Richard building his own narrow boat, but I can't place it for the life of me, got a feeling it was somewhere by the Longboat pub, can't find it on any maps.
Regards John1.

I looked on all the maps, old & new in the A to Z and I couldn't find it. They give no information at all about it on The Birmingham Lives Site.

Phil,

I came across a different image of Crooked Lane to the ones you posted on the Shops in the centre of Brum thread.  This is described as looking up Crooked Lane from High Street in 1886.

Heres one that members who came from Aston or knew it well might recognise. Its Lovers Walk that ran up the side of Aston Railway Station. I would imagine many a Villa supporter has walked down here.

This little narrow street must have been on of the busiest first thing of a morning. Its Moat row which was one side of the fruit & veg market.

I'm not a 100% sure but I think this little alley off John Bright St was Suffolk Place. It was typical of some off the little alleys and gully's that were scattered around Birmingham Centre. Sadly most of them are lost to us now.
