Sorry Pete, all I remember around there was the Tattoo shop where I had my first tattoo at the age of 15, and that would have been in 1962. My cafe of choice then would have been the El Greco at the top of Bloomsbury Street.

Can you remember what you won for 3,4 or 5 in a line?
Was it a vision, or a waking dream?

You must have been standing outside the location of Smokey's when you took the photo. Can't you remember what was to your left.

Or had you just staggered out of the Travellers and was taking the photo so that you would remember your way back.

Referring to previous posts, all be it old ones.I can't remember a cellar and jazz club at the La Fiesta
La Fiesta Summer Row 1959-1960s was a building under a demolition order. Customers sat on beer kegs,
tables were barrels, lighting was by candlelight. The expresso machine was 'Hot Wired' into the main grid.
If you wanted the toilet,-tough,there wasn't one. You stumbled out the back door in the dark and took
  your chances. Happy Days!

I remember that La Fiesta , I never went in there it looked a right dowdy place from outside .
If voting made any difference , they wouldn't let us do it.

Great to see that my photo of the Stage Door Club is in the public arena Greydog. I spent many hours there. The chap walking past is my old friend Brian Tipper. I wonder where he is now

I used to go to the stage door often around 1966-68.
I worked at the Wondering Minstrel, Matadore and the owners were Anne and David Hadland.
The Blues music was what I went there for.
I was quite naive about drugs. Did anyone know Scotch John ?
I used the name Esmerelda at work.
Lovely to read all your interesting chat.
Pauline.
