An early photo of the Bull Ring, it looks as if this horse trough was outside St Martins Church and just in front of where they later built the underground toilets. It seems that the chap in the photo is having a rest after pedaling into town on his bicycle, did the large wheels make the journey shorter?

Another trough and another loo this time, this one I remember as it was still there in the 50's and early 60's. It resided at the bottom of Lawley Street on the bottom of Garrison Lane at that time. Now I suppose like most of the others that abounded in Birmingham I suppose it resides in son City Councillors garden full of flowers.

I remember this one as well at the junction of Cattell Road and Coventry Road outside The Greenway public house.

Phil, that is the only one I really remember. It was a landmark for anyone going to the Blues matches and there was always a crowd of drinkers from the Greenway around it. I guess that whole corner was knocked in the early 70s?

There was a loo in King Edwards Place , I used that a couple of times as a kid when Chipperfield's circus came to Bingley Hall at Christmas

There are a few on here who might recognise this urinal, it's on Stratford Street at Camp Hill just adjacent to K.E.G.S.

It's still there in Alison Street, up the side of Digbeth Police Station, this is an older photo of the same urinal before they added the road signs.
