Hello Phil
I want to send you a PM about one of your pictures on this page, but my system gives an error message to say that I can't send PMs. Is there a fault in the system at the moment, or is the problem at my end?
Thanks,
ColinJ

This is very evocative for me, because I actually served behind the counter there one day.

The rest of my message will contain more detail than I would wish to publish, so I'll move to PM.

Colin
I received your PM and have forwarded you a slightly better copy of the photo with higher resolution as requested to the given email address.

Hi Alison
Number 50 Belgrave Rd would have been near the junction of Sherlock Street and Pershore Rd on the left heading toward Moseley Rd, see the attached map. You will find some photos of Belgrave Rd on this thread and also you might try typing the name in the search box at the top right of the page that might bring more results up.

I have just received my fathers military records from the Army Personnel Centre and it gives his address on joining up in March 1940 as 10/164 Belgrave Road. Can anyone tell me where about on Belgrave Road this was.
thanks Bob
