Friends' Hall was a meeting place in Gooch Street belonging to the Society of Friends ('Quakers') but open to all-comers in the period c. 1890 to 1960. In the 1920's a few of its members clubbed together to buy the sports ground whose entrance is now in Lyndworth Road, Stirchley: Lyndworth C.C. rent the ground from the Gooch Street Trust (no longer affiliated to the Society of Friends).
Frank Morris's son, Robert, is the Secretary, Robert Woodhead's grandson, David, is the Chairman, Vic Holford's son, Michael, Bill Bird's grandson, Ian Stokes, and ex-player Peter Ewins are other members of the Trust - all with connections going back many years.
