Piece of interesting trivia:

Small Heath was reputedly the first club to become a limited company in 1888. Changed
to Birmingham City in 1905 and began playing at St. Andrews 1906

Cheers for that Waka,,after starting out as Small Heath Alliance in 1875 we actually changed our name to "Birmingham" first and then added "City" some years later O0
Very impressed with the Blues tonight,,with a bit of luck we could have took all three points ,,,,,,,,,,,,,Zigic is improving with every game O0 ,,a certain poster on this forum once said he wasn,t good enough to play on Shirley park ;)

2-2 against Man City I,ll take that anyday :)

Trivial question for Wak,
What have Birmingham City & Manchester Utd; have in common?

Answer.....
They were the first to open dedicated "club shops" for supporters....( on the same day in the mid 70,s IF I remember right :-\  )

Blues trivia:  The antecedents Small Heath wore a white diagonal crossing on their shirts.
Brief dalliances with light blue and black with amber in the 1990's count as an aberration
So the 'Blues' are as blue as Everton also little change in 100 years. The 'Toffee men' did
experiment with salmon pink and all black ensemble with a diagonal red stripe across
the shirt! Mind you in those far off Victorian times the colours pink-girl and blue-boy were
reversed on clothing items.
