Me and a mate of mine used to go into The Barrel on a Friday night till about 10pm then over to the settlement ,they used to have a disco over there in the late 60's , then when that finished , we used to go to the Locarno . For what was called in those days grab a
granny night . Not that we grabbed very much , mores the pity

Fred

I never went on a Wednesday night, so I can't give any recommendations. Though I'm sure it wasn't as bad (or as good) as some would have you believe.

As you will see, in my next post I explained I never actually visited the tower on a Wednesday night. I was just repeating what I has been told.

Lyn I worked in Henrietta St , walked down Summer Lane every night , I used to live in Selston Road just up from The Shareholders and
The Barton Arms , 1976-1996 . The firm moved out to West Bromwich in 1984
