It must have been 1977 ... the album cover of Tony’s record was photographed at the Rainbow Casino. It was definitely Brian Holland .I worked there for a while dealing Blackjack .

Snooks does the name Alan Manning mean anything to you ?

Hi there everyone I was a,townie
In the 70s. Great music fantastic
Night clubs made you feel alive
In those good old days. Clubs like
Locarno, Rebecca's dolce vita
Cedar club rainbow castaways faces snobs sloopy's Pollyanna's rum runner. Millennium's liberties to
Name a few. There are loads more
I could name. Go to manzil's in digbeth for a curry after. were the days. At least there was
Not so much trouble then. You could go out & feel safe in them days. Not like the world we live in
Today where you would have to
Keep looking over your shoulder
If you went out now

Hi Townie - I heartily agree - great days. Of course it did help that there were no responsibilities , no bills to pay, no worries except about homework!

Make every day a day to remember

For me it was the 60s and never felt threatened. It is mad now with the drugs, knifings and shootings.     :(      :o

For me it was the early 70s and the Ringway.
Was it a vision, or a waking dream?

Just snuck in after a looong absence!  I knew Alan Manning.  He was the Director of The China Palace casino in Hurst Street.
