This looks like a refugee from the Tulip Festival at Cannon Hill Park in the Bull Ring in the 1990's

Another aerial view of the Bull Ring. This one from the early 60's shows a yet unfinished Bull Ring.

To be quite honest I can't say that I ever did either, and although the date with the photo says the 1990's it looks earlier than that to me. There again I have photos with lots of things on exhibition in the Bull Ring that I never saw.

The clothes don't look 1990's to me. I'd have thought a couple of decades earlier.  When did Oswald Bailey's open there? Was it from when the Bull Ring opened?

Judith I agree, the windmill could be advertising the Spring Festival (tulip festival) at Cannon Hill Park in thec 1960's. Though I don't believe it was still running in the 90's so what would a windmill be advertising. I'm always saying never believe dates with old photos unless you know them to be true.

I would have loved the chance to wander around the Old Market Hall in it's heyday, I did manage to frequent the hall itself after the Germans blew it to pieces during WWII, but I don't think it could have been a patch on it's former self. I don't think the antiseptic and sanitary version built to replace it in the 60's ever came anywhere nearing a match.

I agree.  Would love to time travel for the day & see some of these places as they were.

It's 1962, but there is still a long way to go.
