Hi Phil,

that is fantastic. The cleaners must have been further up the road than I initially thought.

Is there a list of the odd numbers, on the opposite side of the road, available please?

cheers

Mike

Thanks for the photos. Not sure if I'm too late joining this conversation. My grandmother, Lucy Clayton lived at 6 back of 86 Benacre St. and many other relatives lived around there and Gooch St too. If anyone needs me to look on the electoral roll for surnames in years 1920s-1950s I can.

Sorry for changing the subject, but going back to Hope St school. In 2009 I joined a club, after a few months on joining I got talking to one of the members only to find out that he lived not far from me and that he also attended Hope St school. He had left school in 1955. his name Jim Hunter. But how strange all those years being that close and yet never meeting, talk about ship's in the night.

He left the same year as me. The name Jimmy Hunter, does ring a bell but to put a face to the name, difficult, there is too much mists of time. can you remember what street he lived in, ?
