Ah, I've been barking up the wrong tree. Thought it was Pershore Road (Great Birmingham Run) but now I see no leaders plus a few Union flags...

Behind the crowds on the left is the central reservation of the dual cartridge way. Spent many an autumn evening collecting conkers there in the very early 60's. Such happy days  O0
