Link don't work Fred, but if you put the 'e' in abbey you'll find the site.

Nice images on that website. I was at the Abbey Primary School next door from 1952-1960, and attended mass at the abbey every schoolday morning and every Sunday. I was also an altar boy when aged 8 or 9. My father is buried in the adjacent cemetry.

Hi all I started at the Abbey in 1951 to about 1954 , we used to catch a bus from Shard end as the  Abbey was the nearest catholic school to Shard end . I keep saying I am going to revisit it . Great memories

Hi; it may come as some surprise to some, but the Abbey School has for some years been a branch of Highclare School, an independent fee paying school of some repute. I believe the church is still there though (as a church). [/size] ;)

I used to attend the abbey infants, then the juniors, then moved down to the senior school.
i recall some of the teachers names, the headmistress was a nun by the name of sister cuthbert, teachers names were, killmartin, she was nicknamed the killer because the teachers used to take you to see her so she could give you a good hiding, or a nasty smack on the backs of your legs,
then there was miss tarpy, miss corigan, i recall she took my model car from me and after school closed i broke in and tried finding my car, she must of took it home for herself lol, i was just 5 years old at the time
