Hi Paul

I just thought it worth mentioning that all threads on the forum are open to all, and the only private conversations are held via the messaging system.
Phil died in 2020. RIP.

I have really great memories of The DZ club in 1968/9. My friend and I cooked chips and snacks in that little kitchen..we were students at local music college.....I remember Johnny Windsor well...He had a girlfriend called Dougal...I missed the last bus home to Bearwood once and he gave me a ride home...will never forget ☺

I had a mate  by the name of Keith Brown who was a member of the DZ club when I first got to know him he had a 125 Cub I think it was . He then passed his test and got a BSA 250 Goldstar , we used to go out on our dinner hour for a ride round me being the passenger , one particular dinner time we were at the lights by the Albany Hotel on the Smallbrook Ringway , he said to me wonder if this bloke can ride that bike it was a Honda 175 twin  cylinder . He did say that  the Honda rode correctly should leave him in the dust , anyway the lights went to green as far as I'm aware the Honda is still at those traffic lights we left him standing
