Right to get back on track, no look down Congreve st could be complete without a look at Chamberlain Square.

Hi

To help keep this thread on track, I have moved some of the posts to a new thread "Birmingham Architecture Today". Please try to keep the comments on this thread confined to the streets and architecture of the "City" If a similar thread is required for the suburbs then I will start one.

Of course as we move along Colmore Row there are quite a few streets and Alleys that need a mention.

Starting with Eden Place that runs down to Edmund St along the side of the Council House.

Hello Phil Eden Place brings back memories of a pavement artist in the 60s that was there most days he would have done about 20 slabs of different subjects by the end of the day I would often go out of my way to admire his skills. Dek

Yes Dek I remember him and his little dog well, did you know he was one of a very few people who had a licence to beg on the streets of Birmingham issued by the Council, and though I never saw it myself they say a limousine dropped him off each day and picked him up each evening.
