A good photo which shows well the Odeon cinema which opened in summer 1933 closing in 1962.  The bus on the left is JOJ 1 (2001) a Daimler with a Metro Cammel body (Saltley works).  The other bus to its right is JOJ 381 (2381) a Crossley bus with Crossley (Manchester) bodywork. It is about to turn a proceed to Pheasey Estate terminus of the 29A.  Both buses entered service in 1950.
best wishes,  Alan

Its hard to believe that this photo of Broad Street became the site for The Hall of Memory 3 years after this photo was taken.

I have seen many photos of the rotunda being built but not this one. The Beginning.

I watched it being built, and then on the day it opened we joined the queue of traffic to cross over it, I think we must have went round and crossed it at least half a dozen times. It's amazing how little it took to amuse us back then.

I used to love going over it on a double decker bus  :D

I went up to look as they were taking it down.  Very sad  :(

Its hard to believe that nobody has come up with an answer, even the people who have thousands of street photos of Birmingham incredible. Perhaps this is one they don't have  ;D
