On behalf of my lovely Sister, this is a very long shot. We lived at 116 Station Road, right opposite the RC primary school which is now a community centre. (From Cotteridge we went up Northfield Road then turned first right into our part of this 3-part road).
My Sister & Brother (Jillian & Colin Woolley) joined loads of other girls, boys & grown-ups at a street party to celebrate VE Day (May '45) or maybe VJ Day (August '45). Were you there as well, by any chance?
Jill remembers seeing a photograph of the street party showing her & our Colin (sadly he's no longer alive) & thinks it may've been taken by a newspaper photographer. As a very long shot, has anyone still got a copy of this photograph or ideas as to where to find one?
