lovely walks
along the river cole
round moseley bog
 
the wife's  sister does a moonwalk every month
every full moon
a walk along an interesting place
 
starting in a pub
finishing in one as well

When i first started work i worked not far from wear you live the Serck used to have a place at the top of Springfield rd on the right up the side of the allotments and behind some houses, i think it is a small estate now wear the factory was.

Left Perry Barr 1970 and moved to Water Orton, left Water Orton 1970 and moved to Cheswick Green Solihull,  left Cheswick Green 1975 and moved to Durham, left Durham 1986 and moved to Bramhall Cheshire, left Bramhall 1989 and moved to Manley in Cheshire, left Manley 1997 and moved to Helston Cornwall, left Helston 2004 and moved to Torquay, left Torquay 2009 and moved back to Helston.  Most moves were job related (rented houses not included) but the last three were after early retirement.  Think we would have been better off with a Gypsy Caravan and Hoss.  Damn sure that we are not moving again (unless my Wife wants to  )

Have I got my geography right (It's been a long time) is the area that you described Fred Springfield road, at the bottom of the hill from Sparkhill baths,and did the river cole ron through the side of the allotments.
Diden't that area by the Springfield cinema used to be called Springfield.?
I thought that you lived in Hall Green Plod.?

Thank you for the map,It's pretty much the area that I had in mind.When we were young lads we would offten walk from Trittiford park,along the river Cole and catch the bus on the Stratford road,to get back to Sparkbrook.There was one occasion when we were arrested for stealing rhubarb from the allotments.
This chap was lived,you would have thought that we had stolen the crown jewels.He frogged marched us off to the police station at Sparkhill.
Once we explained that the rhubarb was growing wild on the river bank and not from the allotments.The police let us go without charge,
