The Library and Liberal Club have long gone, they were replaced by this New Central Library a good number of years back (photo 1) This has been deemed no longer fit for purpose and is soon to be replaced by (photo 2) on Centenary Square Between the Rep and Baskerville House.

We have the "Dustbin Lid" building, I dub this one the "Chicken Shack" because of the wiry looking effect of the finish, however I find it easy on the eye though rather boxy looking.

It reminds me of a load of water tanks stacked up with some camouflage netting thrown over it.

I've just had to check the calender to see if this is an April Fool joke....That has to be the worst "building" I have ever seen :( .
It's even worse than this monstrosity in Worcester.

You can lead a horse to water but, a pencil must be lead.

Clearly, you haven't seen the eyesore on the corner of Muntz Street and Somerville Road (in Small Heath).   :-[

Re post #123, the building is an artists impression (computer generated) of the building that is now being built to replace the Central Library.

The Worc's edifice looks loke a school project for 5 year olds, given cardboard and sticky tape etc.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Phil, Muntz Street looks like the Beverly hillbillies treehouse, is that a temporary structure ?
