One of my brothers worked there as a Saturday boy and used to take my friend and I up on the roof at lunchtime for a sandwich and a cigarette.

I have no memory whatsoever of a roof.

GG, right, I did look at them earlier. I'm just saying, I have no recollection of a roof garden. Must have been nice 'cos I love anything like that.

I can't remember there being a garden from when I was a child, perhaps we just didn't go up. It was only when my brother and I were teenagers that we used to sneak up on the roof and there was nothing like that then.

I was on the roof a couple of months ago in my job capacity it,s now full of Air Handling Units. It has become 2 different buildings now Temple Court and Priory Court. When we went into town it was a real treat to go up to the Childrens Garden.Dek
