I went to Greet Primary 1948 to 1954, Formans Road for one term in 1954 and Golden Hillock 1955 to 1958. I lived in Blundell Road. Headmistress at Greet Primary was Miss Hill succeeded by Mr. Kirby. Mr. Carrol went to work in British Forces school in Germany. Headmaster at Formans Road was Mr. Underwood, known to pupils as scarface for obvious reasons

Do you ever wonder where the old members of the forum are now?
Was it a vision, or a waking dream?

Hello, I have just found this site and would like to post an enquiry but can't find a New Thread icon.
Please help.

Just in case I have found the right page, I am looking for information on Pithall Road, Shard End where I lived  circa 1950-53.

We lived opposite a fenced off quarry and had a field at the back with a felled/blown over tree big enough for small children to sit inside.  I remember the Bailey Bridge mainly from the rumbles of my father's Morris convertible.

I was born in 1948.
Any info much appreciated.
Mary Jane

Hi Mary Jane

The first thing you need to do when lookind for anything specific, like a road, street or district is type the name into the search box at the top right of the page and see what results that brings. If that doesn't show anything of use go the home page and pick one of the ten boards you will see there. Click on the one you think most suited then click on new topic then enter a subject title and then in the text box type your message.

Hello-it's good to join you. I was born in Ireland in 1953, raised in Small Heath, Perry Barr and Erdington. I now live in the Black Country and am a very regular visitor to Birmingham.
Happy to be part of the community!
