Children's Bus Passes to go.
« on: October 17, 2011, 03:22:30 PM »
For the second time this year Birmingham City Council are planning an attack on free and subsidised passes for children &  taxis for disabled children used in getting to and from school.

Whilst I do not agree with this at all there are some savings that could be made quite easily, for instance if the family income is over a certain amount. Or if the child is disabled and in receipt of the full mobility grant, which generally means a parent is driving a mobility vehicle in the child's name. In all other cases leave it alone, or do we want to see more children walking the streets at night, especially on dark nights.
