Morning Townie, I think you'll find it was at the end of what used to be Cumberland St , this street was to the right of the  Birmingham housing offices . Which were opposite The Granville pub  on Broad St get to the end of Cumberland St, and The Crescent was facing you, Likewise if you went down Sheepcote St, take the first right and its on the left.

Round the Horne what a memory jog. Whilst serving in the Royal Navy ships used to have a collection of BBC comedy shows on 78rpm records which were played whilst at sea. Some where I have a couple of these records, Round the Horn, The Navy Lark and Hancock's Half Hour, I will have to sort them out

Bronson , tune in to Radio 4 Extra , also channel 343 both available on the satellite channels .
