No, still got phone booths with glass in, still got bus stops with glass in, council flats and maisonettes not covered in graffiti, council garages with doors on, and most of all streets not covered in litter because we have wheelie bins not black plastic bags that get ripped open by stray dogs, fox's, rats, and the bin men.

You do not see how Birmingham has deteriorated until you have left, shame to be honest but a simple single massive improvement would be to issue wheelie bins and drop the black plastic bags !!!.

Stoke on Trent is just up the road from me, a large city full of under privileged people with mass unemployment, all the problems of Birmingham. But it is clean and rubbish free, why ? Because they do not put their rubbish in plastic bags !

Here, we have to make own or collective provision - what all try to do is get 40 US gallon oil drums, and build a block & concrete shelter   -   as sanitary and sewage tubing/pipes are not very wide, loo paper is not flushed away but goes ''in the bin'' hopefully inside 3 plastic bags.   When choosing a flat, try to get one as far from the entrance as possible, as the 40 gall drums will be next it.
