Hi...I was born in those flats in 1970... if anyone has any books of history on them I'd greatly appreciate if you could let me know of any!

Hi Noel

Welcome to you, I can't remember reading any definitive work on the Holmes Estate, it has more or less been written about by anyone of note who has a historical interest in Birmingham,  such as here.

Hi I know this is a long shot but my Mother and her Dad and two brothers lived in The Holmes in the thirtys and maybe 40. The family name was Balmond (Doris, William, Harold and Gordon) She was taken in by a family called Moran (not sure of the spelling). Would anyone on here remember anything about them? Thanks
