AC,

I have lied a bit, my nine lives were up a long time ago, good job that I'm not a cat then.

Funny but some people called me 'Cat' because in the 70's I looked a lot like 'Cat' Stevens, now I look like an old 'Dog'!  ;D

Ah John,

That must have been a photo from the trip I won to Winson Green Holiday Camp  ;D

Isn't that where Phil and I met you, at the bar?

The only bars I remember were the ones on the windows.

Phil,

I've got bars for security on all windows here, and to think that I'd always thought that bar security was another word for bouncer

Whilst trams are still within the near location, heres a picture of a No 72 tram on the Bristol Rd pulling up the grade just before Northfield. I'm not sure of the date, but you never know one of you lads could be on it. I only got use the 72 tram on a couple of occasions when I was taken to the Lickies as I was far too young to go on my own. I used the No 62 bus myself though on many occasions.

Phil,

That's a terrific photo, and the setting makes it very nostalgic.  It's the kind of ''piece of the past'' that is of the England I would like to remember.
But in this case it could be from before my time, as:

I think from the model of the tram, the comparative narrowness of the roads, and full width of the dual carriageway central areas, that this could be from well before WW II.  Perhaps cars were not considered to be numerous enough to merit more road space
