Birmingham is home to some mighty fine pubs, bars and nightclubs, we’ve decided the time is right to celebrate all that is excellent about the city’s night culture. Supported by Budweiser, Michelob, Estrella dam, Brown-Forman and Red Bull, the launch of the Bar Awards, is an almighty celebration of the city’s nightlife; think of it as a chance to push the boat out for all of those who have gone out of their way to make a night out in Birmingham a bit on the awesome side.
But it’s not just about back slapping a load of industry types. This is about the people of Birmingham, because we want the public, their mates, grannies and pet hamsters to get voting to decide the outcome. The fact is it’s down to the public to decide who wins what.

What next?
There are 10 categories in all; Best Small Venue, Best Large Venue, Best Music Venue, Best Bar Food, Best Traditional Pub, Best Cocktail Bar, Best Club, Best Club Night, Best Bar Team, with one lucky venue being voted Birmingham’s Best Bar. It’s FREE for establishments to register in the competition and then the public to vote for their favourites and decide who wins. Voting forms accompanied by ballot boxes will be all over the city by August.
Now, if you’re a pub/bar/club owner or manager or you run a clubnight, get in touch now for an entry form
And what about the night itself?
October 15th is the big day, with the awards taking place at a secret location? As well as of course dishing out all the honours, we’ll have a guest host, plus lots of extra entertainment and live music. Lovely.

This really will be the biggest event in the nightlife industry this year, and it’s vital you’re a part of it. If you want any further information just visit www.birminghambarawards.co.uk or email event organiser Chris Legh at [email protected]
