Nobody has mentioned the only two I know, one large one on Curzon Circus and a piano shop in Digbeth opposite the coach station (Sparky's??).
Didn't Sparky's have an advert on BRMB radio back in the day?

Don't know but there was a record played on BBC radio in the fifties "Sparky and his talking piano" or something like that.

I think that it was actually called Sparky's Magic Piano I'm sure if you Google 'Sparky' you will get more info.

On the way to see a Who concert at the Bingley hall Stafford. Stopped off for a pint or two in the city.
In the window of a music store which turned out to be Woodroffe's?was a Fender 5string bass  ugly but caught my imagination, came back up on the following monday (day off work) and bought it.. and sadly as with many things in life, hard times forced its sale.
Still playing on and off. Can't remember the year or much else of that era lol
